Pal-Think holds awareness sessions on electoral issues within the project “Towards a Society More Aware of its Electoral Rights”
As part of the activities of the project “Towards a Society More Aware of its Electoral Rights” carried out by Pal-Think in collaboration with the Central Elections Commission and funded by the European Union (2021/Phase II), 9 awareness-raising sessions were held in various governorates in the Gaza Strip. The sessions targeted various groups of society, including women, men, and young people. The project aims to raise awareness among society members on electoral issues and encourage them to participate in any future elections.
The sessions included discussions on the reality of the electoral rights for women, the role of the elections in promoting democracy and patriotism, the stages of the election, the procedures for each stage, and finally the role of the Central Elections Commission. The sessions also covered some mechanisms for enhancing women’s political participation and the role of youth in promoting the democratic process.
These sessions were carried out using interactive methods through discussion, brainstorming, success stories, case studies, and videos that illustrate the information presented.
It is also worth mentioning here that these sessions are part of a 35-session campaign that will be implemented under the project “Towards a Society More Aware of its Electoral Rights” in all parts of the Gaza Strip.
