PalThink for Strategic Studies has organized a workshop to screen and discuss a documentary entitled “In the Land” in Rafah in collaboration with “Magazine 28”, as part of the second phase of the “PalThink Academy for Democracy and Human Rights” project, supported by the German Federal Foreign Office’s funds by ifa’s Funding Programme zivik.
The meeting was attended by a number of young members of the PalThink Academy for Democracy and Human Rights, in addition to a number of young artists, writers, and researchers from Rafah.
Member of the Academy, Rawan Al-Khatib opened the workshop by welcoming the audience and discussing the main objectives of the PalThink Academy for Democracy and Human Rights, one of PalThink’s projects for strategic studies.
The film presented the life of the indigenous people in Australia, as it deals with the issue of not criminalizing the occupier despite the innocent owner of the land while criminalizing the indigenous people and not allowing them to defend their land.
The screening of the film was followed by an in-depth discussion on how to benefit from the Australian experience, which was moderated by Mahmoud Al-Shaer in an interactive atmosphere
