Impact of the Humanitarian Crisis in the Gaza Strip on the Marginalized Groups (Women, Children and People with Disabilities) – 7th October 2023 – 15th June 2025

On 7th October 2023, some few thousands Palestinian fighters, led by the military wing of Hamas, and the Islamic Jehad, penetrated north and east borders of the Gaza strip targeted adjacent Israeli communities, killing about 1300 people and taking at least 236 hostages.  Two days later, Israel declared a total blockade on Gaza and the Israeli defense minister declared “There will be no electricity, no food, no fuel, everything is closed. We are fighting human animals and we are acting accordingly.” Israel defined its war policy on the Gaza Strip by using collective punishment, dehumanization, and starvation. Aggressive statements against the people of Gaza were released by Israeli officials, especially the finance minister and the Minister of Interior Security who are still playing vital roles in the Israeli cabinet that is leading the war against Gaza.

Israel launched aggressive military operation in the first week, started with heavy raids on military and government facilities, open agricultural fields and civilians’ house, and followed by ongoing invasion. More than 54,000 Palestinians were killed, 150 thousand were injured and few thousands stuck under rubbles. Throughout this Israeli aggression, Gaza has been undergoing severe humanitarian crisis.
