New Paper: Survival Entrepreneurship in Gaza: Informal Economic Adaptation and the Prospects for Recovery after the War

Since October 7, 2023, the Gaza Strip has been subjected to a devastating genocidal war that has affected all aspects of life, including civilians’ homes, infrastructure, and other community facilities. This paper highlights the impact of the ongoing crisis on the economic situation and entrepreneurship projects before, during, and after the war in the Gaza Strip, as well as the prospects for recovery. It concludes with a set of recommendations aimed at strengthening entrepreneurship initiatives as part of a strategic economic plan designed to reduce youth unemployment and support sustainable economic development.

This paper is published as part of the project “From Survival to Civic Engagement: Empowering Youth in Gaza” implemented by Pal-Think for Strategic Studies in partnership with Atlas Network
