{"id":7656,"date":"2014-10-03T12:17:12","date_gmt":"2014-10-03T10:17:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/palthink.org\/en\/?p=7656"},"modified":"2014-10-03T12:17:12","modified_gmt":"2014-10-03T10:17:12","slug":"the-world-alliance-of-religions-peace-summit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/palthink.org\/en\/2014\/10\/7656\/","title":{"rendered":"The World Alliance of Religions: Peace Summit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"center\">The World Alliance of Religions: Peace Summit<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">17-19 September 2014, Seoul, South Korea<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.palthink.org\/enn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/1.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.palthink.org\/enn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/1.jpg\" alt=\"1\" width=\"638\" height=\"215\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">The WARP Summit was hosted by:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light\u00a0(HWPL, Chairman Man Hee Lee)<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">The Enactment of an International Law for the<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">Cessation of Wars and\u00a0Legacy of Peace and the World Alliance of Religions<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">Political leaders, including:\u200b<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">Emil Constantinescu\u00a0(Former President of Romania), \u200b<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">Stjepan Mesi\u0107 (President of the Republic of Croatia),<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">Cassam Uteem (President of Mauritius Republic)\u200b\u200b,<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">Haris Silajd\u017ei\u0107\u200b (President of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina)<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.palthink.org\/enn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.palthink.org\/enn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/2.jpg\" alt=\"2\" width=\"401\" height=\"274\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">On the first day (17 September) &#8211; The Opening Ceremony<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">Attended by approximately 200,000 people<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">The biggest event ever for peace<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">The Card Section performance by 12,000 members of the youth organizations.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.palthink.org\/enn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/3.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.palthink.org\/enn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/3.jpg\" alt=\"3\" width=\"403\" height=\"281\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">On the second day (18 September) &#8211;\u00a0the signing ceremony of the Unity of Religions Agreement<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">\u00a0Religious leaders proclaimed they will transcend religion and denomination<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">\u00a0and embark upon the establishment of the unity of religions in order to bring about world peace.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">Political and\u00a0religious leaders, including:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">Antonio Ledesma (Archbishop of Cagayan de Oro, Philippines),<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">Swami Chidanand Saraswati (President of Parmarth Niketan Ashram),<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">Martin De Jesus Barahona (Bishop of the Anglican Episcopal Church of El Salvador),<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">Giani Gurbachan Singh (Jathedar of the Akal Takht)\u00a0participated in<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">The signing ceremony of the Unity of Religions Agreement<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.palthink.org\/enn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/4.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.palthink.org\/enn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/4.jpg\" alt=\"4\" width=\"535\" height=\"182\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">On the last day of the event (19 September) &#8211;\u00a0Walk for World Peace<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">Hosted by:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">International Peace Youth Group (IPYG)<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">\u00a0A\u00a0total of 200,000 people,<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">including the participants of the Summit, the members of youth and women\u2019s groups, and local citizens,<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">participated\u00a0\u00a0in the Walk for World Peace near the Seoul Olympic Park.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.palthink.org\/enn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/5.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.palthink.org\/enn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/5.jpg\" alt=\"5\" width=\"470\" height=\"151\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">Mr. Man Hee Lee, the chairman of HWPL,\u00a0emphasized the realization of the cessation of wars<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">and\u00a0world peace through the unity of religions in numerous meetings with the media.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">We encourage the media from different countries of the world to frequently report on\u00a0the peace agreement signed at the Peace Summit.<\/p>\n<p>We would appreciate\u00a0you watching the highlight video\u00a0contents\u00a0thoroughly as listed below\u00a0and joining us together in fulfilling the hope of world peace.
