14pt;\">Gaza City\u2014 PalThink concluded the eighth seminar of the project: \u201cYouth Political Club: Palestine\u2019s Tomorrow Leaders\u201d implemented in partnership with the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), the lecturer is Dr. Ghassan Al-Khatib, Professor of Cultural Studies at Birzeit University.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The discussed theme was \u201cPeacebuilding and Conflict Resolution: The Case of the Two-State Solution\u201d the seminar took place at Pal-Think\u2019s hall on Sunday, 1 September, 2019 and lasted for three hours 10:00-13:00.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The lecture aimed to review the current and past peace-building efforts within the Palestinian situation and then discuss the two-state solution and\u00a0 other alternatives from the one-state solution to the deal of the century and its details.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Dr. Al-Khatib discussed several key ideas, including the concept of peace building, international mediation and negotiations, the Middle-East peace process, reasons for failure of peace process, in addition to outlining the pros and cons for the one-state solution in comparison to the two-state solution.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><b>Comments and questions:<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Do the Oslo Accords include conditions that bind Israel towards delivering the two-state solution?<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">What is the role of the PLO and the PA in achieving the two-state solution?<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">What is the role of the Palestinian youth in supporting the one-state\/two-state solutions?<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">\u064bWhat are your views on the deal of the century and the possibility of passing it through at the moment?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div
