Project about “Renewable Energy as a Sustainable Solution to the Electricity Crisis in Gaza Strip”.
In continuation to its efforts in tackling critical issues that concern the Palestinian society, and working on sustainable projects that aim at achieving development and prosperity in the Palestinian territories in general, and Gaza in particular, Pal-Think for Strategic Studies is glad to announce the new cooperation with Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, to start a project entitled: “Renewable Energy as a Sustainable Solution to the Electricity Crisis in Gaza Strip.” This project came as response to the reality that is facing Gaza today. It is obvious that the electricity crisis in Gaza has become one of the outstanding problems that affect various aspects of the lives of the Palestinian citizens in Gaza. Such crisis is considered very complex due to its impacts and its economic and social consequences. Thus, this project aims at supporting all previous and current efforts of finding new short, mid and long term solutions to the electricity crisis in Gaza, through the use of scientific and research methods. The project duration is 6 months and contains a series of workshops with relevant experts and a closing conference to present the results.
