Simple Project Summary:
The project aims to empower young Palestinians (ages 18–25) in the Gaza Strip to become active civic leaders and defenders of human rights, democracy, and peace.
Through the Pal-Think Academy for Human Rights and Democracy, youth will receive intensive training, lead community-based initiatives, and produce knowledge materials to promote civic engagement and crisis prevention.
The project seeks to foster long-term change by enhancing democratic values, promoting peaceful dialogue, and strengthening civil society’s role in building a just and stable future for Palestine.
Main Activities:
- Youth Training Courses: Five training programs (each 5 days) for 200 youth and Pal-Think alumni.
- Mini-Grants for Youth-Led Initiatives: Support for 10 small community-based initiatives designed and implemented by trained youth. Focus on human rights, peacebuilding, and civic participation.
- Production of 5 Working Papers: Research papers on democracy, crisis prevention, human rights protection, and peacebuilding.
- Visibility and Media Outputs: Production of 5 short videos documenting project activities and impact.
- Human Rights Brochures: Design and printing of 1,000 brochures on human rights awareness and protection.
Project Objectives:
- Promote democracy and human rights among Palestinian youth.
- Build youth capacity for civic leadership, conflict resolution, and peacebuilding.
- Support community engagement through youth-led local initiatives.
- Encourage research and policy dialogue on crisis prevention and democratic reform.
- Raise awareness of human rights and gender equality, especially among women and vulnerable groups.
