Simple Project Summary:
This project aims to address the urgent psychological and social needs of young Palestinians affected by the ongoing war and humanitarian crisis in Gaza. It focuses on two main components:
- Resilience Training for Youth – helping them cope with trauma, stress, and loss.
- Knowledge Production – documenting and analyzing the war’s effects on Gaza’s social fabric through research papers.
The project seeks to empower young people, restore their sense of dignity and hope, and contribute to a deeper understanding of how war reshapes community relationships and social dynamics.
Main Activities:
- Resilience Training Sessions: Five two-day sessions for 100 youth from Pal-Think’s alumni network. Focus on trauma recovery, stress management, and rebuilding self-esteem.
- Production of Three Working Papers: Analytical papers documenting the social and psychological impact of the war, focusing on:
- The breakdown of social bonds and displacement.
- Shifts in community support networks.
- Access to humanitarian aid and the dignity of recipients.
- Awareness and Dissemination: Sharing findings with civil society, international organizations, and the public to promote informed discussion and advocacy.
Project Objectives:
- Strengthen youth resilience and psychological well-being amid the war.
- Promote dignity and self-agency for young Palestinians facing trauma and deprivation.
- Document and analyze the changing social and humanitarian realities in Gaza.
- Inform policymakers and humanitarian actors through evidence-based research.
