Policy analysis paper: Towards Effective National Policies to Enhance Youth Participation in the Palestinian Elections
A policy analysis paper issued by Pal-Think for Strategic Studies, discusses Palestinian youth participation in decision-making through the elections and how the Palestinian division and its cumulative repercussions weakened youth community and decision-making participation. This paper explores practical alternatives and policies to enhance youth participation in decision-making through general and local elections and discusses solutions to enhance youth access to decision-making positions despite the division.
The paper proposes a set of alternatives that would, in light of the current circumstances, enhance youths’ political participation. Official and unofficial institutions have long spoken and called for enhancing youth political participation, but they have not found an effective way to do so.
This paper comes within the project “Building tomorrow’s Leaders for Palestine” implemented by Pal-Think for Strategic Studies and FXB.
