Project Summary:

The project aims to raise awareness among Palestinian youth in the Gaza Strip about the importance of democratic elections as a pathway to peace, stability, and national reconciliation following the recent conflict. It will empower young people with the knowledge, skills, and platforms needed to actively participate in the upcoming elections and contribute to long-term peacebuilding and democratic renewal in Palestine.

Main Activities:

  1. 7-day knowledge-based training for 40 civic-minded youth on election-related topics, including the Palestinian Basic Law, the electoral framework, and the role of youth and women in political participation.
  2. 7-day practical skills training focused on leadership, advocacy, communication, and community engagement.
  3. 15 community awareness sessions on the importance of holding elections, reaching at least 375 participants across Gaza.
  4. Production of 3 awareness podcasts featuring youth, experts, and civic leaders to promote peaceful participation in elections.
  5. Development of 3 working papers addressing:
    • Youth perspectives on the future of governance in Palestine.
    • The emergence of new political parties post-war.
    • Constitutional reforms to enhance youth and women’s participation.

  • To build youth capacity for active engagement in civic and electoral processes.
  • To promote democratic values, civic responsibility, and political participation.
  • To contribute to national reconciliation, peace, and long-term stability in Palestine
