The 8th Seminar for the YPC- Peacebuilding and Conflict Resolution

Gaza City— PalThink concluded the eighth seminar of the project: “Youth Political Club: Palestine’s Tomorrow Leaders” implemented in partnership with the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), the lecturer is Dr. Ghassan Al-Khatib, Professor of Cultural Studies at Birzeit University.
The discussed theme was “Peacebuilding and Conflict Resolution: The Case of the Two-State Solution” the seminar took place at Pal-Think’s hall on Sunday, 1 September, 2019 and lasted for three hours 10:00-13:00.
The lecture aimed to review the current and past peace-building efforts within the Palestinian situation and then discuss the two-state solution and other alternatives from the one-state solution to the deal of the century and its details.
Dr. Al-Khatib discussed several key ideas, including the concept of peace building, international mediation and negotiations, the Middle-East peace process, reasons for failure of peace process, in addition to outlining the pros and cons for the one-state solution in comparison to the two-state solution.
